I spend most of my time walking from one end of this city to the other, collecting various small bills from various interesting people in exchange for life wisdom and tech support.
ArenaNet is having a five hour live stream celebrating the midnight release of the first Guild Wars 2 expansion Heart of Thorns. I'm an old man and will probably be asleep before it launches, though I will be gliding around the jungle before work, I'm certain.
I have a weird relationship with the Guild Wars franchise. The first game took up a lot of my time - I would take my desktop and monitor to a friend's house and a group of us would play Alliance Battles or do story missions all weekend. We drove an hour and a half to an NCsoft event just to meet Gaile Gray (and back in 2005/2006 I can't think of any game company where I was aware of an individual employee who worked there). The three years since Guild Wars 2 came out have been full of ups and downs but it has always been something I could turn to a a stress release. Sometimes I would play hours a day and sometimes I wouldn't play for a few weeks or months. But I would always keep up to date arms would often put streamers on in the background, even if I wasn't playing.
Now, after 3 successful but rocky years, Guild Wars 2 has hit a mile stone. I'm excited.
All aboard the Hype Train.
Balcony ceiling collapsed. No injuries. Little over an hour of fire fighters hacking off remaining bits and transporting it downstairs. Crazy night.
I am officially the first (and only) associate in my store certified to repair cell phones. This will be very fun.
